How Up-To-Date Is Your Web Site? 0

Posted on December 03, 2010 by Justine Curtis - My Virtual Assistant

You know how it is, you spend a small fortune and a large amount of effort getting your web site up and running only for the information to become obsolete faster than you can say ‘the web site needs updating’. So you go back to the original designer who wants another small fortune for updating a few lines of text and the odd graphic, or as often happens, the designer is far too busy working on larger and more profitable projects to be concerned with making yours a priority, or worst of all, the designer has disappeared never to be seen again…

Updating your web site is actually quite straight forward, with a piece of software and your login details, your web site can be updated in minutes without any input from designers which mean that you can have up-to-date information available at all times. Now doesn’t that sound easier?

At My Virtual Assistant, we provide a Web Site Updating and Maintenance service that means you can give your web site a one-off overhaul to bring it up to date and then if appropriate let us update it regularly with new content so that your latest information is always available to your clients and prospects.

Are You A Bit of a Talker? 0

Posted on November 19, 2010 by Justine Curtis - My Virtual Assistant

Are you one of those people who has a huge amount of information to give about your particular area of interest, and could talk and talk endlessly and passionately about your subject? Have you ever thought about imparting that knowledge through a tele-class or tele-seminar?

Running a tele-class or tele-seminar is a great way to leverage your time as you are instantly talking one to many, instead of one to one. You can impart your knowledge to large groups of people all over the world and all from the comfort of your own office. All your listeners need to do is dial in to listen to you from their own homes or offices without all the hassle or additional costs of travelling to a venue, hotel bills, child care arrangements, etc.

At My Virtual Assistant, we provide a Teleclass Set Up service that includes the set up an email template so you can alert your existing mailing list, a mini web site including a sales/registration page and a thank you page to thank them for signing up. We will also set up payment processing through PayPal or your existing shopping cart, email the attendees the call dial-in details, set up the conference call and record it, upload the recording of the call and send all participants a link to the recording once the call has taken place.

Data Entry – Website Registration and Form Filling 1

Posted on November 12, 2010 by Justine Curtis - My Virtual Assistant

Do you have any idea how many hours a week you spend filling in forms? It can be online with web sites that require you to register to access certain articles and information, to sign up for newsletters, or post your contact information for other visitors to see, or offline with application forms, etc. All of this form filling can be a tedious process so compose a list of web sites or companies you wish to register with and allow a VA to take care of the rest.

The Magic of Thinking Big! 0

Posted on August 27, 2010 by Justine Curtis - My Virtual Assistant

When you are in the setting up stages of your business, don’t forget to set everything up as though you were a large company. For example, set up various email address for different uses and don’t have all email coming to one address. You can have ‘yourname’, ‘enquiries’, ‘customer service’, ‘quotations’, etc. In the short term you can collect them all by diverting the emails to one central address, but later on when you want to set up an auto responder for a particular query, or send the handling of certain enquiries to your VA or employee, you will have already segregated the emails.

Email Addiction – Are You Guilty? 0

Posted on July 23, 2010 by Justine Curtis - My Virtual Assistant

Limit the amount of time you spend checking email and switch off email alerts. If you are constantly checking your inbox or are responding immediately to email alerts you could be wasting hours every week, not to mention finding it very difficult to concentrate. Limit email checking to 2 to 3 times a day and stick to it. Your email will still be answered within a reasonable time but you will be able to concentrate on more involved projects without constant distractions or interruptions.

Alternatively, let us handle and filter your email for you. We can pick up your email on your behalf, filter out the junk and spam, answer requests for information as you instruct us and only forward you the handful of messages you actually need to deal with yourself. How many hours would that free up each week to work on the more important things?
